Monterey County Regional Fire is part of the Monterey County Urban Search & Rescue Team (USAR). The team constist of members from three agencies: Monterey County Regional Fire, North County Fire, and Monterey Fire.

Team members are competent in the following disciplines:

 - Rope Rescue

 - Search

 - Shoring

 - Trench Rescue

 - Confined Space

 - High Angle Rescue

 - Low Angle Rescue
